Youth
Cambridgeshire Cricket Board offers a wide range of opportunities for young people to play cricket.
From primary schools coaching – much of this under the auspices of the Chance to Shine initiative – and ASDA Kwik Cricket festivals throughout the County; also through InterCricket, the equivalent competition for secondary schools; to club cricket at all age groups from under 10 up to under 17 – there is a pathway for all boys and girls which can lead to District and County representative recognition or simply to enjoyment in being part of a team.
The youth cricket set-up in the County is supported by a successful coach education programme which encourages young players to assist in delivering club sessions.
