The Development XI is a primarily under 25 side which operates as the Cambs County Cricket Club second XI. They play friendlies and in the East of England Development Competition alongside the development teams of neighbouring counties.
Five current county players have progressed through to full county honours via this side. The home games also serve as a development route for Cambs Scorers and to date two Scorers have also progressed through to the full county side.
